White porcelain is a traditional ceramic product that originated in China. It is characterized by using white clay as raw material and being fired at high temperatures, resulting in a surface with a bright white gloss.

The history of white porcelain can be traced back to the Tang dynasty, but it reached its peak during the Song dynasty and became the most popular ceramic product at that time. Song dynasty white porcelain was famous for its clean color, delicate texture, and elegant shape, and was known as the "number one porcelain in the world". White porcelain continued to develop during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, and spread to various parts of the world. In modern times, white porcelain has made significant progress in production technology and design, becoming an important component of contemporary ceramic art.

White porcelain is made primarily from kaolin and porcelain stone. Kaolin is an aluminium-containing clay that can increase the binding force and plasticity of the clay. Porcelain stone is a silicon-containing mineral that can increase the hardness and compressive strength of the clay. The key to making white porcelain is the proportion of clay and the temperature and time of firing. During the firing process, white porcelain needs to be fired and polished multiple times to achieve the final texture and gloss.

White porcelain comes in a wide variety of appearances and shapes, and can be made into various sizes, shapes, and decorated items such as plates, bowls, teapots, vases, and incense burners. The production process of white porcelain can also be combined with other materials such as metals, wood, and gems.

In Chinese history, white porcelain is not only an artistic product but also an important cultural heritage. As a beautiful work of art, white porcelain enjoys a high reputation in China and around the world. Modern white porcelain has made significant progress in production technology and design, becoming an important component of contemporary ceramic art.

Notice
the producing process of “White porcelain” which is very special. When we produce a batch of teacups, we used the same martial of each cup with painted the same glaze, then put them into the enclosed clay jars, finally sent it into the calcining kiln to fire for three times. The color of the cups was random, we may call it as “kaleidoscopic”, depended on the weather, humidity and so many different details from outside. We were not sure the color of each cup until we opened the jar at last. The only thing we can make sure is the shape of each cup. So every White porcelain was unique and collectable. On the other side, if we sold the same color cups, we have had to paint the cup later period by machine, that means the cup are not made by hand naturally.
